About: Ingenuity Pathway Analysis

Core Description

Ingenuity Pathway Analysis the leading pathway analysis application among the life science research community towards the analysis, integration and interpretation of data derived from ‘omics experiments. Such experiments include RNA-seq, small RNA-seq, metabolomics, proteomics, microarrays including miRNA and SNP, and small-scale experiments. By using IPA, you can predict downstream effects and identify new targets or candidate biomarkers. Analysis helps you perform insightful data analysis and interpretation to understand your experimental results within the context of various biological systems by quickly visualizing and understanding the  complex ‘omics data and perform insightful data analysis and interpretation by placing experimental results within the context of biological systems.

Mission

The mission of the Ingenuity Pathway Analysis (IPA) Core is to encourage and promote the application of this web-based computational approach to the study of biomedical and disease processes among research community at Howard University. The application of those research approaches and methods that are at the interface of the biological, and biomedical sciences is of particular interest.

Specific Aims
  • Provide software support to Howard University research community.
  • Training on this software and its future application.
  • Enhancing more interdisciplinary collaborative research among Howard’s research communities and inter institutional research collaboration, including international.
  • Provide hardware configuration support while using this web-based portal.
  • Connecting people with the similar research interest to future collaboration and project development.
